© Danielle Parhizkaran/NorthJersey.com New York Jets running back Ty Johnson (25) rushes against the Las Vegas Raiders in the first half of a game at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, in East Rutherford.

Week 13, though not yet over as this fantasy column publishes, struck me as being filled with impressive stacks. We still have one more game to play Tuesday, but there was plenty of action Sunday to analyze.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs struggled against the lowly Denver Broncos, but the all-everything quarterback still managed 318 yards and a touchdown to Travis Kelce, who finished with eight catches for 136 yards. Kelce also became the first tight end to notch 1,000 yards in five seasons.

Matthew Stafford had one of the more surprising performances, throwing for more than 400 yards and three scores. Marvin Jones was his most productive target, gaining 116 yards on eight catches while scoring a TD.

Ryan Tannehill and Corey Davis also hooked up well, connecting 11 times for 182 yards and a score. Tannehill finished with 389 yards and three scoring tosses.

Despite Davis' 11 receptions, Darren Waller had the most prolific day as he caught 13 passes for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Derek Carr surprised me with a 381-yard day to go with three scores, including the last-minute winner.

The Raiders put up those big numbers against the Jets in a thrilling finish. That game also featured our top waiver wire pick for the week.

Top waiver wire picks for Week 14:

Ty Johnson, RB, Jets: New York looked as if it would get a win over Las Vegas before a doomed defensive call ended that hope. Johnson was one of the reasons the Jets had the lead in the first place, scoring the go-ahead TD while rushing for 104 yards on 22 carries. Frank Gore suffered a concussion in the game, so it could be a big opportunity for Johnson, who next faces Seattle, a team that allowed Wayne Gallman to run wild.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts: Back-to-back good performances are a breath of fresh air after weekly poor production for weeks on end. Hilton caught eight passes for 110 yards and scored for the second week in a row. He has three decent-to-good matchups coming up, including another game against Houston.

Keke Coutee, WR, Texans: With Will Fuller suspended, it seemed Deshaun Watson would lean on Brandin Cooks, but Coutee stepped up big. The third-year wideout made eight catches for 141 yards. He has a tough matchup with the Bears next, but they just let the Lions pass for a lot of yards.

Reflectionguided

Collin Johnson, WR, Jaguars: The rookie out of Texas had a highlight-reel play in a four-catch, 66-yard performance. Johnson also converted a 2-point play. That comes after a 96-yard, one-TD game last week. He has another good matchup against Tennessee in Week 14.

© Bruce Kluckhohn, AP Jacksonville wide receiver Collin Johnson catches a 2-point conversion pass in front of Minnesota linebacker Eric Wilson during the second half Sunday. Johnson has had two solid fantasy performances in a row.

Quintez Cephus, WR, Lions: Another rookie, Cephus scored his first touchdown on a 49-yard play, and it's a good sign that Detroit released Marvin Hall earlier in the week. Adding Cephus now can prove fruitful when he has good matchups in the final two weeks of the fantasy playoffs.

Drew Sample, TE, Bengals: Without Joe Burrow, the Bengals are going to be limited, but a solid tight end can help questionable quarterback play. Sample had seven catches for 49 yards this week and gets to face the Cowboys next.

Baker Mayfield, QB, Browns: I'm having a hard time believing the Browns are good, and it's mostly due to Mayfield's inconsistent play. His 334 yards and four touchdowns against the Titans are a feather in his cap, though. Another positive? He gets to play the Jets during championship week of most fantasy leagues, Week 16.

Russell Gage, WR, Falcons: After having a great start to the season, Gage has posted modest numbers. He scored for the first time since Week 2 against the Saints on Sunday as he had four catches for 51 yards.

Rashard Higgins, WR, Browns: He's married to Mayfield's performances and as a result can disappear at times. Higgins caught six passes for 95 yards and scored in Week 14. He could be a playoff stash until Cleveland plays the Jets in Week 16.

Week

Chad Hansen, WR, Texans: Before moving up from the practice squad, the last fantasy note about Hansen on one platform was written in September. He made the most of his opportunity to play Sunday, catching five passes for 101 yards.
